Our Story


When our parents, Kim Tran and Dan Dieu, moved to South Philadelphia from Vietnam, they brought along a passion for food and the dream of opening a restaurant of their own. Adjusting to their new lives put that goal to the side, but the kitchen remained the heart and gathering place of our home.


In 2020, we co-founded Mi ’N Tea to bring together two family favorites: traditional Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches and fresh-brewed Taiwanese bubble tea. With our parents’ combined 15 years in the restaurant industry, Troy’s sales and customer service background, and Kim’s decade of experience in marketing and branding design, Mi ’N Tea is truly a family effort and the realization of a dream shared by two generations.


Naturally, Mi ’N Tea dishes up what our family loves—from traditional recipes to trending flavors and healthful alternatives. We get a little competitive about serving the very best of everything, including premium teas and authentic ingredients, prepared fresh just for you. And, we want everything we make to be beautiful, down to the last detail. Our shop is designed and built to celebrate the creativity and diversity that make Philly such a wonderful place to call home.
